When it comes to selling a product via a website or printed brochure one of the most challenging subjects is Food and Drink.
The Food Photographers job is to translate into image form the quality and expected taste of the food, which, after all, is a very personal experience for the customer.
On a recent food shoot for a Yorkshire Food business we set about that very task, and produced the photography for a Christmas food brochure and price list.
The food shots were a team event, and to produce high quality professional photography this should always be the case. A highly experience chef worked with me on this shoot, either this or a food stylist is paramount when producing food photography for your business as they will not only be skilled in the process of cooking the food but will be very experienced in the visual preparation of the food too, as this is a photographic process the look is actually more important than the taste.
The team also consisted of the art director/designer of the brochure and the client, who's all important guidance input and knowledge of the subject is again, vital to the success of the shoot.
Food photography of this nature can be shot in studio in Leeds or at your location if this is preferable.
