With a focus on climate change being large in view currently one of the simple ways I think we can all help to is to buy & shop local.
Its an instant benefit to everyone concerned, its not a 5, 10 or 20 year target, its happening right now.
When you buy local the ripple effect is immense, I’m sure we all know this but if you buy local then you travel less either in a car or by public transport. You can walk, which benefits you greatly too.
The locally spent pound is massive to the business receiving it and research shows that between 40 & 60% of the pound spent locally stays local.
I understand that not everything can be sourced locally and we will shop online & still use cars & buses to travel to carry out our retail, but to me this one small change could have such a great impact.
